A new audio website? Why? Was it necessary?
The answer to the first question is absolutely positive. But this is a new website, not a magazine.
There will be no deadlines, no fixed dates, no periodicity. It will be constantly updated with reviews, news and the latest releases from audio and music market. To explain why, I have to rely on my ten-year experience in this field. Audio magazines are living a moment of deep crisis due to many reasons, one of these - among the others - is the fact that they are paper magazines run with old fashioned method that were suitable thirty years ago. These methods are outdated nowadays and to transpose them online would be inappropriate. We are not announcing or promising a revolution, I recently turned fifty and it might sound pathetic, but what we can do is to take a look at this world with brand new eyes and with a logic free from any commercial link with the advertisers. You will still find here the "old style" reviews on equipments but first and foremost all the news that paper magazines many times neglet. With the cooperation of the field operators we will be able to bring to you all the news regarding the world's high fidelity market and we will tip you off on the news coming from Italy and elsewhere. When possible we will publish real time reports from the different shows. The website policy and the rules for those that will write will be dealt with in the future. I don't know the names of all the co-authors yet but those that will join us will be welcome to share the core ideas of this website. We don't know if a new website for audio and music news was really necessary but we hope it will be useful at least. We will have a better understanding on the subject by analyzing the statistics of our readers. These are hard times to start a new business and we hope that you'll acknowledge the braveness of our enterprise and that you'll follow us. On our side we'll do our best to make this site interesting hoping that all your expectations will be fulfilled at best. Get in touch with us through the contact menu and send us all your proposals, critics and suggestions. And if you wish to cooperate submit your applications. They will be more than welcome. Thank you for your trust and thanks also to operators and friends that encouraged me to start this journey. Angelo Jasparro September 2012 Translation: Francesca Rubino |
