Phil Jones AIRPULSE Model One Begins Shipping 6/26/17

Legendary British speaker designer and renowned bass player Phil Jones knows bass. Ask any bass player about his PJB (Phil Jones Bass) line of professional speakers and head amps, they're considered the state-of-the-art in the musical instrument channel. 30 years ago Phil's AE-1 for Acoustic Energy "redefined the art" for the compact studio monitor, becoming a best seller in its category. Now he's turning his attention back to home audio and has designed something special to launch his new consumer audio brand called AIRPULSE. Phil has designed a complete, leading-edge 2-channel hi res audio / high -end system for $995. The AIRPULSE Model One eliminates the expensive chassis cost normally required to house the amp, preamp, and DAC. Instead, these components are mounted inside one of two speaker cabinets and includes these outstanding features:
The cabinet walls are 3/4" thick and well damped internally to eliminate resonance, well braced to damp out vibration. The 3" tall ribbon tweeter is horn-loaded with phase correction, the high frequencies are directional, remaining coherent to the listening position for improved stereo imaging. The hard-anodized aluminum cone woofers feature under-hung voice coils and Neodymium magnets usually found only on high end speakers that sell for a lot more money. This woofer design costs more to make but results in lower distortion, audibly superior to over-hung voice coils with cheaper magnets and paper or plastic cones.
