Classic Album Sundays Announces The New Audiophile 'Who's Afraid of the Art of Noise' Box Set

Classic Album Sundays, the event series renowned for hi-fidelity sound and immersive album experiences, is now lending their ethos to a record label via a PledgeMusic campaign with the release of The Art of Noise ‘Who’s Afraid of The Art of Noise?’.

In collaboration with ZTT, Classic Album Sundays will present an audiophile deluxe box set which will feature a double vinyl re-issue of ‘Who’s Afraid of the Art of Noise’, re-mastered in high quality at a London based all-analogue mastering suite from the original tapes onto 180 gram 45 rpm vinyl. The box set will also feature an extra EP (tracks TBC), artist print, turntable slipmat and booklet.

There are further items available to purchase in the campaign including a 12-inch featuring new DJ remixes including King Britt with a Fhloston Paradigm remix, to draw modern audiences to The Art of Noise and introduce the band to new fans. Further remixes will be announced soon along with the chance to buy a high defininition FLAC download of the album.

Art Of Noise are not a band and never were. They have always been an organization; a distinctly non-rockist creative, post-modernist collective. Starting out as a mysterious Trevor Horn led experimental studio outfit, the primary contributors to the adventure were; Royal College Of Music graduate, Anne Dudley, producer/arranger J.J. Jeczalik and songwriter, instrumentalist and engineer/producer Gary Langan. Ex-NME writer Paul Morley contributed ideas and delivered the bands non-image to the press and media.

It was 1983 that Art Of Noise were unleashed on an unsuspecting public, with the debut vinyl EP ‘Into Battle With Art Of Noise’ winning admirers from the then disparate worlds of the pop and dance markets. Dazzling production from Horn created a post-rock soundscape that melded hip-hop beats with studio trickery, tape-splicing and more than a little humour.
