Building a successor to the enormously successful Carmel™ loudspeaker brings with it immense challenges. YG Acoustics™ had developed significant technologies in the past few years that begged for inclusion in the Carmel™ platform but were cost prohibitive. Not the least of which are the now famous BilletCore™ cone drivers and ForgeCore™ tweeter. Carmel™2 is therefore the culmination of years of research, and a near-obsessive desire by YG Acoustics™’ lead-designer Yoav Geva, who insisted that his inevitable responsibility was to extend the leading-edge technologies of Sonja™ and Hailey™, to Carmel™2. Carmel™2 delivers the lifelike natural sound of YG Acoustics™’ flagship Sonja™ and Hailey™, at a price that is within reach for many of us who – until now – could only dream of owning a speaker of such ultra-high-end caliber.
