Following the positive reactions we've received for the Signature range, we're adding to it with a new CD transport. The CD Xt Signature is an evolved version of the CD XT SE₂, which will no longer be made. Its manufacturing uses many of the techniques and components which were developed when designing the Anniversary System CD player, reengineered to allow us to sell it at a competitive price. In line with development of the CD Xt Signature, our multi talented Research and Development team have reworked our Servo Evolution disc reading process to make it more powerful and accurate than ever before. These improvements to the SE₂ platform were made specifically for the CD Xt Signature, and you can really hear the differences they've made. Behind every element of the CD Xt Signature lies months of research, testing and tuning. Find out more about it here, and contact your local retailer to find out when you can hear our most advanced CD player ever for yourself. www.cyrusaudio.com New lineup brings design and engineering excellence from Model T series to smaller enclosure sizes on display at 2013 CEDIA Booth 421 Peterborough, Ontario August 21st, 2013 -- Bryston, LTD (www.bryston.com) has announced the introduction of a new series of loudspeakers designed to complement their successful Model T offering introduced at CES 2013. The Model A series leverages the same design principals as the Model T, with a focus toward minimizing distortion and compression during music and home theater playback applications. The new Model A series relies upon an array of newly designed drivers including a premium quality 6.5-inch woofer rather than the 8-inch version used in the Model T series. This smaller woofer size achieves startling musicality from a more compact, décor-friendly form factor. The Bryston Model A lineup will initially launch with a bookshelf speaker called the Mini A as well as three floor-standing towers called the Model A1 Tower, Model A2 Tower and Model A3 Tower. These four loudspeakers will become available through authorized Bryston dealers beginning Q4, 2013. Bryston will be adding a matching Model A Center Channel, Model A Surrounds and matching Model A powered Subwoofer in the coming months. The new Mini A bookshelf speaker features a 6.5 woofer, a 3-inch midrange driver and 1-inch tweeter in a three-way configuration. USA/Canadian suggested list prices (per pair) are $3,250 for Model A1 Tower, $2,395 for Model A2 Tower and $1,995 for Model A3 Tower. The Mini A bookshelf speaker will have an MSRP of $1200 per pair. “After a strong launch of our first series of loudspeakers resulting in outstanding feedback from both reviewers and our customers earlier this year, it became clear that consumers need high performance loudspeaker options in a full range of sizes,” explained Bryston sales VP James Tanner. “The Model A lineup addresses that need, delivering the sonic realism of our larger Model T speakers from smaller enclosures,” added Tanner. Bryston loudspeakers are available in an array of wood finishes, and a durable vinyl is available as a special order lower cost option. The entire array of Bryston loudspeakers was born from the challenge to construct a reference quality speaker that could reproduce real world dynamics while minimizing distortion and compression. The engineering team at Bryston has devoted countless hours to innovative driver design, enclosure vibration analysis, crossover refinement, anechoic chamber measurements, and blind listening tests. The first model to reach completion, the Bryston Model T, was subjected to over 200 separate anechoic measurements during the design phase to ensure the highest level of accuracy and refinement. Bryston loudspeakers have also been engineered to reproduce the most difficult dynamic transients—to play very loud passages of music or movie soundtrack information without the distortion common to competitive products. Boulder Amplifiers (http://www.boulderamp.com) is pleased to announce the debut and release of the 2110 Preamplifier and 2150 Mono Amplifier at the 2013 Hong Kong High-End Show, August 9 through 11, 2013. The original 2000 Series was in continuous and unchanged production since 1996, making the 2100 Series the first and only revision of 2000 level products in seventeen years. The 2110 and 2150 will be the first components in the new and expanding 2100 Series of products. The 2100 Series is Boulder’s highest performing continuously produced product line. It encompasses the latest technology and thought regarding high-performance home audio reproduction. The 2100 Series marks a substantial increase in performance over the previous 2000 Series (http://www.boulderamp.com/2000-Series.html), moving the game on from what has long been considered the benchmark in high-performance audio amplification. The suggested US retail price for the 2110 Preamplifier is $54,000 and suggested retail price for the 2150 Mono Amplifier is $49,000 each. International export prices will vary by country. 2150 Mono Amplifier Every electronic circuit within the 2150 Mono Amplifier is entirely new and all technological changes are primarily derived from Boulder’s 3050 Mono Amplifier (http://www.boulderamp.com/3050-p1.html). Among the numerous changes and advances encompassed by the 2150 are: · Pure linear Class A operation. Bias current is actively monitored and adjusted in order to increase efficiency and reduce wasted radiated heat energy. · A new, high efficiency, microprocessor controlled standby mode reduces power consumption when engaged. · All electronic circuits and electronics are now surface-mount designs manufactured on Boulder’s own surface-mount manufacturing machines and ovens to increase reliability, consistency and optimized ground planing while at the same time reducing signal path length, PCB capacitance and noise radiation. · Gain stages within the 2150 are Boulder’s proprietary 99H2, which is unique to the 2100 Series amplifiers. 99H2 gain stages feature surface-mount electronic design and feature a new machined and potted housing to increase Thermal stability. · The 2150 utilizes 80 output devices, 48 filter capacitors and 3 toroidal power transformers to generate power output of up to 1,000 watts into any load, enabling massive current swings and the ability to drive any loudspeaker to realistic audio levels. · Full Ethernet IP control capability and a 12V trigger minijack connection for use with advanced control systems and triggered home cinema installations. · Units will be available shipped at operating voltages of 100V, 120V and 240VAC. · A new and complete array of protection and status monitoring circuits are continuously active. · The physical and cosmetic changes in the 2150 include a slightly revised front panel and a new clear anodized top, bottom and rear panel with no powder coating or paint. All rear panel markings and indications are now machine engraved. Metal casework is cut on Boulder’s own four CNC machining centers. |
