It is absurd. The question as to which sound carrier holds the future of Surround Sound in its hand, thirteen years after its emergence, still remains open. No fewer than three formats - DVD-Audio, SACD and BluRay Disc are fighting for supremacy. As long as one leaves out the fourth member of the group, high-resolution download. Have mercy on us, we would like to call out to the format suppliers. At the same time, a well-made Surround Sound is increasingly proving itself to be head and shoulders above the best stereo. Therefore, the question is not whether there is a race, but rather who will win the race. Until then, we shall continue our path undeterred with the TACET Real Surround Sound.
On this SACD, Matthias Lingenfelder, Jens Oppermann, Stewart Eaton and Andreas Arndt of the Auryn Quartet, augmented by Christian Altenburger and Patrick Demenga, overwhelm the listener with the entire richness of the melodies and ideas from the Sextet by Antonin Dvorak - more clearly and thrillingly than a stereo recording ever could. In addition, each group of three of them will interpret a Tercet from the pen of the same master.
